WHAT TO EXPECTWelcome to our whimsical playspace, a cozy haven designed for adventure and creativity! Every corner sparks joy and curiosity, inviting little ones to explore and develop their fine and gross motor skills. In the active play area, children can climb and balance, and tackle fun challenges. Our art area is a canvas of creativity, where young artists can don smocks and dive into drawing, painting, and collaging, proudly displaying their masterpieces in colorful frames. The creative play area encourages imagination and collaboration, featuring a treasure trove of toys, from pretend play sets to building blocks and a train table. For our tiniest explorers, a designated infant area offers a safe space for tummy time and gentle exploration. When it’s time to wind down, our cozy book nook provides a tranquil spot for quiet stories and reflection. Every inch of our sensory-friendly space is crafted for joyful exploration—come join the fun!

AGE RANGESMALLS is designed for infants up through age five. The playspace features open-ended creative and sensory play that will encourage children to exercise their imagination, coordination, and communication. The space also includes a designated infant area where parents can encourage their babies to safely practice tummy time, rolling, and gross motor skill development.

PARENT / GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITYSMALLS is a parent-supervised indoor recreational facility. Parents/caregivers are required to be responsible for their children at all times; SMALLS does not provide childcare services or supervision. Keep an eye on your child and be aware if they need a break or help navigating a challenge. Front desk associates are available to check in guests, maintain the space and answer client questions, but are not responsible for children's behavior or safety. At no time is SMALLS staff responsible for any child.

SHOE-FREE POLICYWe strive to maintain cleanliness and limit outside germs entering our space. Please place your shoes in the designated area upon entering. Socks are required in the space. We suggest wearing non-slip socks, which are also available for purchase at the front desk.

PRICING & ADMISSIONAdmission for one child is $20, additional sibling(s) $17 and siblings under 6 months are free. Admission includes two adults per child. Pre-booking is not required but highly recommended, especially on weekends and holidays. If we reach capacity, walk-ins will need to wait until the next available time slot. Cancellations must be made 24hrs before booking in order to receive a refund.

PARKINGWe are located at 340 Pompton Ave, Cedar Grove. There is a small parking lot in the back of the building and additional street parking on Sweetwood Drive and Ira Road. If using street parking, please follow local parking rules and be mindful of the neighbors.

FOOD & ALLERGY AWARENESSWe are a nut-free facility. We do not allow any nuts or any nut products to be brought in or eaten at our space. We have partnered with Abe's Muffins and have their delicious vegan treats for purchase in our cafe. COFFEEWe proudly serve locally roasted coffee from Red House Roasters. SICK POLICYPlease do not bring your child to SMALLS if they are sick, contagious or showing other symptoms of illness. If you are home sick from school, please do not come in. And if your child is recovering from a virus, remember that standard procedure calls for a 24 hours FEVER FREE period, without the aid of medication, once the fever breaks.

HOLIDAYS & CLOSINGSWhile we are open weekends for play and birthday parties, we occasionally need to adjust our schedule due to holidays, inclement weather, unexpected circumstances or special events. Always check our website to verify we are open before visiting. We will do our best to communicate any schedule changes promptly to our clients via the website, email lists, and social media.

PERSONAL ITEMSWe are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. If you believe you may have lost something in our space, please contact us. Unclaimed Lost and Found items left in our space are periodically donated.

LIABILITY WAIVERSAll parents and guardians will be asked to sign a waiver upon booking or upon arrival. All patrons of SMALLS are required to sign a waiver.
